The way we tend to think about life often revolves around the way we perceive ourselves. I

guess this is a good introduction to this blog as if we think of ourselves as not being good

enough, then the way we perceive the world we live would be gloomy and pessimistic.

There is a tendency, due to the way life seems to be progressing, in which we receive many

implicit messages that we need to be perfect at everything we do and achieve many things

through our lifetime. Needless to say we develop certain expectations which result from

internal or external sources. Oftentimes our idea of what is good enough set on standards

which are ultimately impossible to achieve.

Does this mean that we are conditioned by these expectations?

Well that depends.
