Willingness | Counselling - Counseling

Counselling is a process of growth which usually happens in the context of a professional invested relationship involving two individuals: the counsellor and the client.  It is initiated when the client realises that there are some things in life which are not functioning as well as one would wish.  The client may recognise that he/she may have limited or inadequate resources in order to change these patterns and thus will look for support from a professional.

The professional offers you a safe space to look into patterns and experiences, and through talking, aim to resolve and process a number of issues which may be hindering you from living fully.

Counselling is a therapeutic relationship and you will be respectfully challenged and listened to.   You will be encouraged to work towards a goal, to reflect on your progress, and be able to identify new needs which may emerge after coming into contact with previously unconscious thoughts and emotions.

A therapeutic contract is signed by the parties involved in order to ensure confidentiality and boundaries. These ensure that the counselling session is a safe place for anyone involved.
