Anna Catania initially graduated with a first class honours degree in Nursing followed by a distinction in Masters in Counselling degree. She works with clients facing various life challenges including problems with self-esteem, anxiety and personal growth, struggles with bereavement and trauma and relationship issues.
Anna has a particular interest in working with individuals and couples who are having difficulties with sexuality and intimacy. In fact she completed successfully the European School of Sexual Medicine which addresses various Psychosexual issues through research based knowledge and practice. Currently, she is reading for a post-graduate diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.
Anna also works with individuals and families facing chronic illness or cancer. In fact her Master’s research focused on the experience
of men when their partners go through breast cancer treatment. She is also trained in helping adolescents process difficulties they face within and outside their familial environment.
Anna is a member of the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists
(COSRT). She is also a member of the Malta Association for the Counselling Profession and strives to work within the ethical framework of this profession.
