The 360° Conference is an annual event in which local research and experience is presented to the public. On the 7th March, Willingness held a conference addressing the ‘Multidisciplinary Approach to Sexuality’. The Conference was made up of workshops, panel discussions, case studies, presentations and a symposium, which was delivered by various professionals and experts in the field. The conference began with an introductory speech by Dr. Chris Fearne. This was followed by an acted out scenario, where a couple had gone through infidelity which was then discussed among three professionals – a social worker, a psychiatrist and a counsellor. This highlighted a multi-disciplinary perspective. Following this, there were numerous concurrent workshops led by a number of experts in the field. Some topics discussed during the workshops were; the sexual discourse in relation to its connotation, language discrepancies, socio-cultural connotations with a special focus on the Maltese society; Sex education for people with intellectual disability in Malta and Looking at our body from a child’s perspective and others. The experts that were present during the sessions were Dr. Mark Xuereb, Dr. Claire Azzopardi Lane, Mr. Matthew Bartolo, Mr. Steve Libreri, Ms. Joanne Farrugia, Ms. Maria Theresa Portelli and Mr. David Millner.
