Justine Parnis is a dietitian who is registered with the Council for Professions Complementary to Medicine in Malta. She works in both the public sector in an acute care setting, and also in the private sector to advise people on what to eat to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve health-related goals.
Justine Parnis has completed a Bachelor’s of Science (Hons.) in Applied Food and Nutritional Sciences followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics at the University of Malta, which included supervised training through an internship.
Throughout her training and career, Justine Parnis has gained experience in managing a variety of conditions through nutrition and through working in a multidisciplinary team. She promotes good dietary health and treats nutritional problems by providing practical advice about food choices, based on scientific research. She helps clients achieve health goals by analyzing their physical conditions and other health concerns and creating a nutrition plan that meets their individual needs and dietary preferences. The dietitian will also monitor and track client progress towards their health goals. Nutritional problems may vary from weight management to more specialized conditions such as cardiovascular disease, chronic lung disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney disease, nutrition in cancer and, pediatric concerns.
