Rebecca is a Family Therapist trained in the Systemic Approach. Following her work in the field of community mental health, Rebecca developed an interest in the experiences and needs of families and loved ones of persons who have a diagnosis of mental illness. This is an area that Rebecca had also researched during her studies at Masters Level, which continued to widen her knowledge on the subject. She is also interested in the promotion of general mental wellbeing through positive family relationships, by for instance, supporting coping and adaptation to changes and stressors that families face, dealing with conflict, and fostering supportive and safe family relationships. Rebecca also values highly the promotion of mental wellbeing through the strengthening of other relationships that are outside a person’s family, including those with colleagues at work, peers in schools, and also through friendships.
