Healthy Explorers


The Healthy Explorers programme is thoughtfully designed to nurture children’s growth through four essential areas:

  1. Healthy Hearts to foster emotional well-being and empathy
  2. Healthy Brains to enhance creativity and cognitive skills
  3. Healthy Bodies to encourage mindful eating and physical health through fun exercises and balanced nutrition.
  4. and Healthy Choices to teach mindful decision-making.

By integrating engaging activities such as yoga, mindfulness practices, gratitude sessions, and interactive games, we aim to create a supportive environment where children develop vital life skills, build meaningful connections, and learn to lead balanced, healthy lives.

Kids enjoy physical challenges that promote mindfulness for kids through play.

📅 Dates:

  • The Healthy Explorers camp will take place during the school holidays on the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th of November. These sessions of mindfulness for kids are thoughtfully scheduled to offer meaningful growth during the mid-term break.

⏰ Time:

  • From 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m

  • In Malta, Ta’ Warda, Ħaż-Żebbuġ
  • In Gozo, Sala Parrokjali, Nadur

Why We Created Healthy Explorers

Healthy Explorers was developed to offer children a space where they can grow emotionally, socially, and physically through engaging, age-appropriate activities. The programme encourages balance between active play, creative expression, and inner calm, helping children understand themselves and the world around them. With the help of our expert guidance, every session supports confident, well-rounded development in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Children will enjoy a variety of activities including:

🙏 Gratitude Circles: Teaching children to express appreciation, fostering a positive mindset.

🫂 Empathy Games: Interactive group activities that encourage kindness and understanding.

🎨Creative Crafts: Arts and crafts designed to encourage creativity, soothe emotions and build self-awareness.

👟 Adventures: Group sports and engaging activities such as obstacle courses are included to boost physical fitness and coordination. These experiences also support teamwork, confidence, and active mindfulness for kids in a fun, energetic environment.

🧘‍♀️Yoga for Kids: Simple yoga poses, to promote flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.

😌 Mindfulness Moments: Short, child-friendly meditations designed to build focus and awareness, while gently introducing mindfulness for kids. These sessions help children learn the value of patience and the benefits of delaying instant gratification in everyday life.

🚶‍♂️Exploration Time: Encouraging curiosity with nature hikes.

🌿 Healthy Snack Creation: preparing nutritious snacks where kids learn about balanced nutrition.

🤝Decision-Making Games: Interactive scenarios that teach kids to think through their choices.

😁 Positive Habits Sessions: Practical lessons on creating healthy routines.

Children create handprint art, encouraging teamwork and mindfulness for kids.
Young children practise outdoor yoga to support mindfulness for kids.
