Chat Bar

Supportive Space for Festival Attendees

Chat Bar provides a safe space for festival/event goers, in order to help individuals cope with any emotional difficulties which may come up during the festival experience. Emotional difficulties can arise from various situations including breakups, arguments between friends, consequences of substance intoxication, or a mental health episode.

Crisis Help by Trained Team

The safe space is run by Willingness trained emotional support volunteers and supervised by a mental health professional. Chat Bar also provides tea for individuals, in order to help ground them and provide a sense of tranquility.

Empathic Crisis Help On-Site

At Chat Bar, the crew members will act as an empathic ear; facilitating any emotional difficulty within the festival goer; with the aim of helping the person ground themselves and be able to continue enjoying the event.

Referral to Professional Help Services

No therapeutic intervention is done at Chat Bar, and if individuals require professional help, they will be directed towards appropriate entities outside of the festival grounds for further crisis help.
