Medical treatment looks after the body. TAMA looks after everything else.

TAMA is a professionally facilitated Fertility Wellbeing Programme for Couples that complements medical fertility treatment by focusing on the emotional and relationship aspects of the fertility journey.

While medical treatment focuses on achieving pregnancy, TAMA focuses on supporting couples through the emotional challenges that often accompany fertility treatment, including stress, uncertainty, communication difficulties and emotional wellbeing.

You do not have to hold all of it on your own, and you do not have to hold it separately from each other. TAMA gives you a dedicated space, alongside other couples who understand, to protect your wellbeing and your relationship while treatment takes its course.

Why couples choose TAMA

Evidence-informed programme

Every session draws on established psychological approaches to stress, coping and relationships, adapted to the realities of fertility treatment.

Professionally facilitated

Sessions are led by Willingness professionals, so the group stays safe, structured and purposeful from the first session to the last.

Confidential environment

What is shared in the group stays in the group. Confidentiality is agreed together at the start and held throughout.

Relationship-focused

You attend as a couple. The work is about the two of you together, not two people processing the same experience separately.

Small group setting

A maximum of eight couples. Small enough that everyone has room to speak, and that nobody has to if they would rather listen.

Practical coping strategies

You leave each session with something you can actually use, in the waiting room, at home and in the conversations in between.

Places are limited to eight couples

Registration takes a couple of minutes. Your place is confirmed as soon as your payment is complete.

Programme details

One programme, six sessions, one fee. Nothing else to add on.

6 structured sessions

A planned arc rather than a drop-in group, so each session builds on the one before it.

90 minutes each

Long enough to go somewhere meaningful, short enough to fit around treatment and work.

Maximum 8 couples

Kept deliberately small so the group stays personal and everyone is heard.

€350 per couple

Covers both partners for all six sessions. Payment is made securely online at registration.

Who is it for?

TAMA is for couples at any point on the fertility journey. You do not need to be mid-treatment to benefit, and you do not need to have it all worked out before you come.

  • Couples considering IVF
  • Couples preparing for treatment
  • Couples currently undergoing fertility treatment
  • Couples using donor conception
  • Couples deciding on their next steps

What couples will learn

Manage stress and anxiety

Recognise what treatment stress does to your body and mind, and what genuinely helps to settle it.

Improve communication

Talk about the hard parts without it turning into conflict, distance or silence.

Protect intimacy

Keep closeness alive when intimacy has become scheduled, clinical or loaded with expectation.

Build resilience

Steady yourselves through cycles, waiting and setbacks without running on empty.

Navigate uncertainty together

Make decisions as a team when there are no guarantees and no obvious right answer.

Develop healthy coping strategies

Build habits that hold up over months, not just on the difficult days.

Ready to do this part together?

Register below. You will be asked for both partners’ names, your contact details and, if you wish, where you are on your journey.

Frequently asked questions

How long is each session, and how many are there?

TAMA runs over six structured sessions of 90 minutes each. The sessions follow a planned sequence, so each one builds on the last. Attending the full programme is what makes the difference.

Do both partners need to attend?

Yes. TAMA is designed for couples and the work happens between the two of you, so both partners attend together. If one of you cannot make a particular session, let the team know and they will advise.

Is TAMA a replacement for medical fertility treatment?

No. TAMA complements medical fertility treatment. Your clinic looks after the medical side; TAMA supports the emotional, psychological and relationship side of the same journey. The two work alongside each other.

Who can attend?

Couples considering IVF, preparing for treatment, currently undergoing fertility treatment, using donor conception, or deciding on their next steps. You do not need to be at a particular stage to take part.

Is the group confidential?

Yes. TAMA takes place in a confidential group setting. Confidentiality is agreed together at the start of the programme and is held throughout by the facilitators and by the group. You choose what you share and when.

How many couples are in a group?

A maximum of eight couples. The group is kept deliberately small so that there is room for everyone, and so it never feels like a lecture.

What does the fee cover?

The programme fee is €350 per couple. That covers both partners for all six sessions of the programme. There are no add-ons or extras to pay for separately.

How do we register, and when is our place confirmed?

Complete the registration details on the programme page and pay the fee securely online. Your place is confirmed only once payment has been received successfully. You will get a confirmation email, and the Willingness team will follow up with the venue details.

What happens if the programme is full?

Because places are capped at eight couples, registration closes as soon as the group is full. If that has happened, get in touch with Willingness and the team will let you know when the next programme opens.

We are nervous about talking in a group. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and it is one of the most common things couples say beforehand. Nobody is put on the spot. Listening is a legitimate way to take part, and the small group size is there precisely so it does not feel exposing.

Register Your Interest

Limited to eight couples per programme. Your place is confirmed once payment is complete.

Still deciding, or have a question first? Contact Willingness and the team will be happy to talk it through with you.
