Learn to think more clearly about power, control and interpersonal trauma, and to respond with greater confidence, compassion and attention to safety.

Intimate partner violence is rarely a single incident with a simple professional response. It can involve patterns of coercion, fear, isolation, shame, attachment, trauma and risk that are easily misunderstood when practitioners focus only on visible injury or a clear disclosure.

This masterclass brings Christiane Sanderson’s extensive work on domestic abuse, sexual violence and complex trauma to a multidisciplinary professional audience in Malta.

Professionals do not need more awareness alone. They need a clearer understanding of power, control and trauma, and the confidence to respond without adding shame, pressure or risk.
