Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Creativity. This week will focus on getting you accustomed to a new mode of learning. Our learning is student focussed and student lead. This means that YOU will be responsible for your advancement and learning.
Creative Process Flow. Learning should be all about the creative process and how to use that to your advantage. Creativity alone will make you a dreamer. Creativity coupled with discipline and a plan will make you an entrepreneur. During this week our job is to show you how creativity can be amalgamated with discipline and a plan to make your ideas happen.
Idea Generation Techniques. This week is all about brainstorming. Idea generation. Innovation and creativity are two separate, yet complimentary concepts that need to be understood and managed well. Through workshops with different experts this week will take you down thought pathways you didn’t even imagine existed inside of you.
After we let your mind wander freely for you to explore the vast and diverse potential it has we will show you how to make the most out of your mind and this thinking energy. Through lateral thinking skills we will show you how to think critically and explore your thought from a 360 perspective, using exercises such as the Thinking Hats.
Now that you have come closer to your final idea marketers and entrepreneurs will help you understand what the market wants, how much they’re willing to pay for your idea, and if it’s worth developing. Once you confirmed that your idea is worth developing our experts and tutors will help you develop a business plan.
In today’s world, full of aspiring entrepreneurs, and much less investors, pitching your idea makes or breaks your company / service. Professional Public Speakers will run workshops in public speaking. Entrepreneurs will teach you how to pitch an idea to investors. Psychologists will teach you about body language and why you should always wear blue when pitching.
We believe in you. We believe that your idea, or a future one will make it. When that happens you will need a team to support you. FreeHour went from a team of 3 to the strong team of 20 in less than 5 years. Willingness Team has grown to over 65 team members in 10 years. With great teams comes great responsibility. Managing a team can make or break a company and this is why successful managers will share with you their secrets to running productive and happy teams.
Managing a company involved the administrative side and a lot of delegation. Too many managers quit their job and business due to burnout. Most of these managers could not delegate the tasks appropriately. Perfectionists tend to not trust their staff so they under delegate. Others might delegate tasks to staff that are not ready, or knowledgeable enough to take on such responsibility. All these lead to problems within the team, with people leaving. This week will teach you how to avoid such disappointments.
An award-winning marketer will share with you his tricks of the trade. He will share with you how he went viral with nation wide campaigns. His “Go Big or Go Home” attitude towards getting the message across will keep you captivated and empower you to take the same perspective to marketing, and life.
You have a great idea. You’ve learnt how to get the idea to people. Now you want them to invest in your product / service. What are the most cost – effective ways to get them to invest? How will the product / service improve their life? This week is about getting creative in ways to get the message across. People from FreeHour, and other companies will talk to you about advertising.
In true Willingness style, if we’re doing something we do it right from the start. This is what we want to teach you as budding entrepreneurs. A lawyer will talk to you about legal parameters one needs to keep in mind when setting up a business. How to respect, and protect, copyright and intellectual property. What to keep in mind when registering a company or partnership. How to protect yourself from possible trouble with the law.
