A woman aged 45-50 with the dates of the Workshop "Supporting Clients going through Menopause"

Menopause is a natural stage of life, yet it often brings unexpected challenges—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Many individuals find themselves struggling with symptoms that impact their daily lives, relationships, and sense of self. Despite how common these experiences are, they can often feel isolating and misunderstood.

This 3-hour workshop, led by Helen McGillivray, offers a compassionate and practical approach to navigating menopause using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an evidence-based approach that promotes psychological flexibility and mindfulness. This helps individuals manage the changes they are facing with greater ease and confidence.

Helen brings over 25 years of clinical experience to this session, offering insights, tools, and real-life strategies to help you better understand and manage perimenopause and menopause.

In addition to Helen’s expertise, the workshop will feature a panel discussion with renowned Maltese experts, including a health psychologist, life coach, and genito-urinary specialist. Thus, offering a holistic perspective on caring for your well-being during this phase of life.

What You Will Gain from This Workshop:

  • Understand menopause from a new perspective – Gain insights into the physical, emotional, and relational changes that occur and their impact on identity, work, and family roles.
  • Learn practical strategies to manage symptoms – Develop tools to handle emotional and physical challenges such as mood swings, anxiety, and fatigue with greater resilience and self-compassion.
  • Navigate hormonal shifts with confidence – Understand how menopause presents in the body and mind. Discover ways to embrace these changes with acceptance.
