Dr Marilyn Muscat has trained as an Educational and Child Psychologist in London.
She is registered as an Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council in the United Kingdom and with the Malta Psychology Profession Board. Marilyn obtained her first degree in Psychology from the University of Malta.
Two years later she obtained her teaching qualification in Personal and Social Development. In 2014 she pursued her studies by reading for a Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology with the University of East London.
Marilyn has been working with children and young people since 2010. Initially she worked as a teacher and then she started to provide psychological services. Marilyn works with individuals of different ages; from children in their early years to young adults. Giving her clients a voice is important to Marilyn as she believes that no matter the age, a person deserves to make themselves heard. Her role includes carrying out psycho-educational assessments, consultations and providing therapy according to the clients’ needs.
Marilyn also has experience working in the field of addiction. She worked in a drug rehabilitation residential setting whilst also doing outreach work by providing individual sessions to support clients.
