Dr. Ronald Zammit is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council in the UK, and as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and the Malta Psychotherapy Profession Board. Dr. Zammit graduated with an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Malta. He then worked for three years as a Care Coordinator at a residential programme for asylum-seeking families and unaccompanied minors, before relocating to the UK for 12 years.
During his time in the UK, Dr. Zammit pursued his studies by obtaining a Post-Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments, a Master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and in 2019, he completed his Practitioner Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southampton.
Dr. Zammit has over eleven years’ experience working across outpatient and inpatient mental health settings in the NHS in England and is trained in working therapeutically with clients across the lifespan and with the full range of mental health needs. Dr. Zammit has also received training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and worked in a comprehensive DBT programme for individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder.
Dr. Zammit is passionate about using an individual-led and compassionate approach, drawing upon evidence-based psychological therapies to meet the unique needs of the individual. He has a specialist interest in working with individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and attachment issues, and personality disorders.
