Seray Soyman works as a Clinical Psychosexologist at Willingness, specialising in sexuality, relationship issues, psychosexual education, and general mental health. She holds a BA. (Hons.) in Psychology from Yasar University in Turkey, and an MSc. (Hons.) in Clinical Psychosexology from Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. During her studies, she has focused on various research topics including but not limited to sex-positivity, sexual communication and guilt, as well as sexuality education. Currently, she is pursuing her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at an institution accredited by European Association for Behaviour and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT).
Apart from her clinical work, Seray is also working as a Trainer / Facilitator. She has a proven track record of successfully co-designing and delivering engaging training sessions. Over the past year, she has conducted more than 20 training sessions, reaching over 100 participants on a diverse range of topics including mental and sexual health. She has also delivered training sessions for 6 prominent Youth NGOs’ events held in 4 different countries including Train the Trainer programmes.
Seray has over 10 years of experience in leadership positions within various Youth NGOs including the International Associations of Leo Clubs and the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA). Currently, she is working as the External Training Responsible position of EFPSA creating and facilitating cooperation between EFPSA and other organisations in the training field.
She advocates for inclusive and accessible sexual health, comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) to drive positive change in society. She believes every individual is unique and has different needs, strengths, and challenges. Therefore, she tailors her sessions to each person's specific needs and goals, with a human-centred approach. She incorporates evidence-based interventions into her practice and keeps herself up-to-date with the latest research.
