Willingness | Gestalt Psychotherapy - Gestalt Therapy-2

What is Gestalt Psychotherapy?

Gestalt psychotherapy focuses on gaining a better understanding of ourselves and the challenges that we face by exploring how these challenges are present in the ‘here and now’. The therapist pays close attention to what is happening in the therapeutic relationship without judgement or pressure, and together with the client explores these patterns or challenges using creative means, such as using images and metaphors, observing reactions in the body or even doing small experiments. Therefore, the goal of gestalt psychotherapy is to determine what these challenges are, what reactions they elicit, what the client needs in that moment, and supports them in fulfilling these needs.
