Grieving is a very subjective experience. It depends on our personality, coping styles, life experiences and the nature of the loss. Healing does not happen overnight, we need time and patience with ourselves…Unfortunately, at times, we receive support during the first few weeks after the loss happens and then those around us expect us to forget and move on…
Will the grieving process ever end?
Loss is a part of life. When I ask clients if time heals the pain, the answer I usually get is: ‘You learn to live with it. You think all is well, life is back to normal and then a song, a special place, even a smell takes you back to the time you were together’.
However, there are ways that can help us go through the healing process in a constructive way and in turn gain insight on our experience…
