My experience at Willingness

Let me start by introducing myself and my work. I am Jessica, a qualified Gestalt Psychotherapist and a freelancer at Willingness. Prior to joining the team, my work and experiences have mostly dealt with issues surrounding mental health.

Summary Of My Life At Willingness

I’ve been part of Willingness for almost two years now, and I can say that it has been more than a positive experience! What I love the most about the organization is its setup. For me, it shows how well thought out it is. This ensures that it runs smoothly despite the employment of several different professionals. Which brings me to the second point: the fact that the diverse experiences are celebrated at Willingness.

This makes the experience all the more enriching, and it’s been proven countless times over the years. We are also given training which further shows how much the organization is willing to invest in freelancers.

Saying I’m So Happy To Be Part Of The Willingness Team Would Be An Understatement

I am truly proud to be working within such a clinic set up where things are discussed and celebrated collectively. Celebrations are also shared on Team Days, where we reflect on the goals set before and how they were achieved, whilst witnessing new goals being put in place. We also have the opportunity to meet in less formal settings and share laughter and common goals as a team. It’s no wonder that Willingness won the Leader in Mental Health Award 2023, as the set-up’s so enriching, the clients see it that way!

Professionals are offered several opportunities to give feedback on what Willingness is doing and how the clinic is being run. As an individual who values this openness and self-reflection, this is important to me.

What I’ve Been Doing While Employed Full-Time At Willingness

Through my months here, I have been further exploring who I am as a professional and adapting to life’s circumstances. Including knowing better where my expertise lies and where I need more work and support. In fact, what drew me to Willingness is the encouragement of further research and the emphasis on finding an area of specialisation. Willingness has several clinics whereby professionals can find their niche.

Professionals are also asked to write blogs to keep in touch with specific topics we wish to further our knowledge in. It feels like it is what is required of a professional of a certain standard.

Benefits I Have Within My Current Role At Willingness

Being a freelancer helps me schedule appointments according to my availabilities and this gives me enough flexibility for my many other commitments.
