Following the success of Willingness’ in House Training regarding ‘Psychiatric Medication and the effects on the therapeutic process’, Willingness received numerous requests for this to be done through the Ngħidu Kelma Platform. Many people have a negative view of medication, whereby that may have read or heard stories about uncomfortable side effects of medications or come across headlines related to the risks of discontinuing various drugs. The two main speakers were, Dr Daniel Vella Fondacaro and Dr. Gabriel Joshua Ellul who are specialist trainees in psychiatry and members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where they presented an in-depth and practical lecture on current psychiatric medication and their impact on the therapeutic process.
