Your intuition is part of that gut feeling you feel when needing to make a decision, when something feels like the best decision you can make or even when you know something isn’t right. Despite our intuitive feelings, we still tend to seek external advice to assure ourselves whether we are doing the right thing or not. We would desperately want their advice, and sometimes, for them to simply just agree with what we already know we want to do.

By learning to look inwards, you can learn that you already possess the right guidance to help you know what is the right thing to do. You don’t need the help of external support because you have your own inner guidance. You’ve this inner guidance all along, which just need to learn how to be open to it. The more we learn to listen to our inner guidance, the more we will become confident in making our own decisions, without needing to look at others for help.

The following are 5 ways to help you listen to your intuition;

  1. Just listen – This sounds simple enough to do and it actually is. Your intuition doesn’t just outright communicate with you, which means that you need to take some time to listen to it. Once you begin to take notice of what it’s trying to tell you, then change for the better with happen. Just be open to trying it and then see.
  • Take a step back from the situation – When you’re feeling overwhelmed to make a decision about something or someone, the best thing would be to take a step back from it. Allow yourself to have some breathing space by meditating, going for a walk, sitting down with a coffee and so on. Do whatever calms you and makes you happy.
  • Feel – Let yourself feel your intuition, through the feeling in your stomach, the goosebumps on your arms, and your racing heart. You’ll be able to feel when something is right or when something is wrong. Learn to trust these sensations and feelings as it would be your intuition telling you what to do.
  • Let negative feelings go – Negative feelings will cloud our judgement and intuition. When we’re angry or sad, it’s easy to make the wrong decisions. This is why we need to let negative feelings go, and be in a more positive mood when listening to our intuition. This will help you make better life choices.
  • Let go of your resistance – When you feel a hunch, don’t brush it off or call yourself crazy like it means nothing. By being aware that this is your intuition trying to get your attention, then you can stop resisting it and start using it to help you instead.

Everyone, even if you’re not aware of it, has their own inner intuition. It’s all about just tapping into it and using it. You possess all that you need to answer your troubling questions, all you have to do is to look inside.
