After several years of experience working with different multidisciplinary teams, I thought I knew what I was going in for when I joined the Willingness team around 4 years ago… but I was totally wrong… in a good way!
First of all, Willingness has given me the honour to work with clients from different paths of life. Clients bring their different plans and challenges and it is very rewarding and humbling to be able to help people along their paths.
Furthermore, I am amazed at how the multidisciplinary team works together, to provide the best service to all those who come to us. We support each other, learn from each other and discuss our difficulties, in order to ameliorate as professionals and as individuals. The management are very supportive of us all the way, and there is no hierarchical system where you feel better or worse than anyone else. We are truly a team.
I have learnt so much from the present and past members of the team. I have discovered so much more about the different professions, but I have also learnt more about myself. I have brought out skills I did not know I had, and many times ventured out of my comfort zone to try new things. In truth, even though sometimes it was not easy at all, these have helped me become a better professional and offer a better service.
After all these years I am still in awe of how much I keep learning. Willingness has helped me grow and has helped me to meet so many interesting people from all walks of life.
I just hope that I have actually given to Willingness at least a speck of what it has given to me.
