Would you believe me that pizza is as good as sex? Well you better believe it!

Studies show that there is a correlation between the way the brain is stimulated when eating or having sex. In fact the senses play a similar role in both activities. We use the senses such as sight, smell and touch when consuming food and the same are used when having sex.  On the other hand the nerves in the brain which are a complex network of neurotransmitters and neuroendocrine systems, together with the hormones and other, not only produce sexual drives but are also responsible for the way we taste and react to food. Good food has comparable neural pathways to good sex. Within the limbic system there exists a physical connection between food and sex and this controls all the emotions and reactions towards these activities. This system releases a chemical hormone called dopamine which creates a sense of craving. In fact, dopamine plays a very important role in the most basic human desires of eating and reproduction.

Moreover, certain foods are linked with initiating and/or heightening sexual desires. Foods like banana and avocado are usually associated with private body parts which can cause an erotic feel when looking at them. Other foods such as chocolate are said to contain chemicals that release certain feelings of euphoria when eaten that cause one to experiencing orgasms. The same goes with spices which are known to increase libido by exciting the central nervous system.

So yes, that slice of pizza was orgasmic!
